David and Yvonne's Children

David Campbell III graduated from high school in 1984and headed east to college at Holy Cross in Wooster, Massachusetts from which he graduated in 1988. After a year spent in a job in New York City, he was accepted at and entered City University Law School. During the three year stint, he was Editor-in-Chief of the International Law Journal. He got his law degree in 1993 and passed the bar examination. After a trip with his father to Scotland as a present for his completion of law school, he was hired as an assistant district attorney in Brooklyn. In 1997, he left the District Attorney's office for a position in Seattle, Washington with the United States Attorney's office. In 1998, Joanne Johnson, a Long Island native, and David were married and initially lived in Renton, Washington. The lure of the east prevailed and the young family returned to the New York Area, purchasing a home in Glen Cove on Long Island. David was employed in private practice by one or two law firms. A son, James Gladstone Campbell arrived in January of 2001.  Unfortunately, David was in a tragic automobile accident in the summer of 2004 and did not survive. He is buried on Long Island.

Tara finished high school one year after her brother and returned east to attend Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., graduating in 1989 with a major in politics. She utilized that to get employment as a staffer for several congressional members. From there, she joined Hill and Knowlton, a public relations firm, and advanced to a vice-presidency in the firm. In 1994 she was married to Andrew Ruszkowski whom she had known since college. Andrew, also a graduate of Catholic University, was also a politics major, graduated in 1990 and went on to take a Master's at American University. Subsequent to that, Tara's work position took them to Prague in 1997 for a year. Returning to the United States, Andrew began work with S.E.S. where he remains today as vice-president. Son number one, John Campbell Francis (Jack), arrived in January of 1999 and Nicholas David (Nick) appeared in August of 2001. Despite time in Wilton, Connecticut early on, they have lived in the Washington area, currently residing in Reston, Virginia. Tara, like her cousin Katherine, continues to be a horse lover and enjoys riding when other activities permit.

The youngest, Michael, showed less inclination to go east and after high school, he went to Occidental College in Los Angles, California where he majored in history. Always an avid reader, Michael founded a storyteller's society and won a fellowship for studying storytelling in Scotland. After his undergraduate degree in 1993, he spent five months in Scotland, returned and worked a year in Washington, D.C. where he meant Gabrielle Dundics, a friend of his sister, and the woman that he would marry in 1997. Back to the state of Washington, Michael pursued a PhD in history while Gabrielle was earning her Masters in Business Administration.  Michael was awarded his Doctorate in 2003  and taught history at the University of Washington for two years. But the east was beckoning. In 2005 they arrived in the capital district where Michael has been employed by the United States government and Gabrielle by The Association of Medical Colleges. Their hope is to complete adoption soon of a son and a daughter.
